System Administrator

FINCA Armenia is seeking a highly skilled and motivated System Administrator to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of our information systems.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the seamless maintenance, configuration, and proactive upgrading of our servers, storage solutions, and overall infrastructure. You will play a key role in integrating new technologies and hardware to align our IT capabilities with evolving business needs.

Infrastructure Management & Virtualization

  • Systems Stewardship: Ensure the robust maintenance, configuration, and 24/7 reliability of server infrastructures, computer systems, and virtualization layers.
  • Deployment & Automation: Oversee the installation and upgrading of server components and software; manage virtual environments and drive efficiency through the integration of automation processes.
  • Resource Planning: Take full ownership of capacity planning, storage management, and database performance optimization to support organizational growth.

Continuity & Data Protection

  • Disaster Recovery: Manage or delegate rigorous backup operations; design and implement comprehensive data protection, disaster recovery, and failover protocols to guarantee business continuity.
  • Performance Monitoring: Conduct regular system stress tests to audit security, performance, and high availability.

Troubleshooting & Technical Support

  • Advanced Diagnostics: Resolve complex hardware and software errors by performing deep diagnostics, documenting issues, and prioritizing resolutions based on business impact.
  • Technical Synergy: Troubleshoot production environments and collaborate closely with the development team to streamline and optimize code deployment (CI/CD alignment).
  • Support Leadership: Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, ensuring that workstation and application issues are resolved swiftly with zero-to-minimal disruption to server-side operations.

Strategic Documentation

  • IT Roadmap Support: Provide detailed technical specifications and documentation to the IT team to facilitate the strategic planning and implementation of infrastructure upgrades.

Education & Experience

  • Academic Background: University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Professional Experience: 1–2 years of proven experience in system administration.

Technical Competencies

  • Virtualization & High Availability: Proficient in Microsoft Hyper-V, VMware ESXi, and managing High Availability Clusters.
  • Microsoft Ecosystem: Extensive experience with Active Directory, GPO, DHCP, DNS, File Servers, Radius, and Certificate Authority servers.
  • Cloud & Collaboration: Hands-on experience with Office 365, Exchange Online, and administration of both on-premise and online SharePoint sites.
  • Infrastructure & Hardware: Solid understanding of networking protocols, systems software, and hardware. Experience with HP Blade servers and HP 3PAR storage is a distinct advantage.
  • System Management & Security: * Familiarity with Microsoft SCCM for endpoint management.
  • Experience with Qualys Vulnerability Management, Splunk, Cisco Meraki MDM, IIS, and CloudFlare.
  • Knowledge of VoIP systems and Postfix mail server.

Automation & Continuity

  • Scripting: Proficiency in scripting and automation tools, specifically Microsoft PowerShell.
  • Data Protection: Practical experience with backup infrastructure, preferably Veeam and Microsoft DPM.

Soft Skills & Languages

  • Languages: Fluency in Armenian and English is mandatory.
  • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
